SKS with muzzle brake/flash hider is fine?

    Hey yall,

Just wanted to check and ask for your opinion on whether an sks with a synthetic molded one-piece stock with a fixed mag would be fine with a flash hider on it for California ownership. Was looking into getting an SKS (maybe Norinco, Yugo), but wanted to ask around here to confirm. Feel like its okay, but I'm relatively new to gun ownership and CA's laws.

    Pic attached for reference.

Should be fine (I did run through the flowchart to double check). Fixed mag is the key, and no grenade launcher, you know, because of all that rifle-grenade crime we used to have.

I see, yeah, flowchart does seem to be satisfied. Thanks for your input.

It is CA legal for a semi-auto centerfire rifle with a fixed magazine to have a flash suppressor/hider.

It is CA illegal for a semi-auto centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine to have a flash suppressor/hider. [PC 30515(a)(1)(E)]

Since the SKS has a fixed magazine, it is CA legal for it to have a flash suppressor/hider installed on it.
