    2A firearm transfer questions

    location: san diego county

i have an immediate family member who for the most part has had all his 2a items seized by SDPD and is no longer allowed to own any firearms for a set amount of time. now that the "court" part is over a local FFL was brought in to receive said items from SDPD and proceed with the transfer or sell of said items. while the FFL has issued me everything they received which wasn't confiscated or was able to be transferred without DOJ background checks they are still in possession of all the firearms except one which has already been approved to be transferred to me with a DOJ background check.

my main two questions are pretty much am i able to receive all said firearms in a single transfer instead of a 30 day stop on each one and what are the restrictions in perhaps selling some of the seeds on certain calibers that i do not personally own or planning to own in the future? there are a total of 3 handguns and 2 shotguns as i have already started the process of obtaining one of the shotguns; a vepr 12.

i appreciate any help or input into the direction of where i can find the correct legal answers to my questions. also i know this information might sound a bit vague but this is the internet.

Were they held on consignment or storage > If any off roster you can get them thru ppt dros or if on consignment.

the FFL is pushing towards a consignment but if possible i would like to take possession of all of them or the majority. all of them are ca compliant and the ones that weren't were confiscated by PD and were not allowed to have any items removed from them including very expensive glass and optics. tough lesson learned. i guess at this current moment you could say they are in hiatus as to what state they are legally in. the only "legal" type document which was signed by my family member was a release form which allowed the FFL to take possession of all the items from the PD property dept.

1-in-30 does not apply to shotguns; handguns and semi-automatic centerfire rifles only.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
