If the owner of a registered BBRAW changes residence within California and brings the BBRAW with them to the new address, are they required to notify anyone or update the address on the BBRAW registration? Thanks.

BBRAW and Change of Address

Don't know if it is required, but I notified them of my change of address about 16 years ago when I bought my house.
Back then all I did was call DOJ. They sent me updated paperwork. -
1. I think you can just update thru CFARS website.
2. The crime is not having a *registered* AW. Your AW is registered.
I do not believe there's any requirement/risk to update etc. but
you might as well. (If they want you they'll find you anyway.)

This is correct.
Your obligation to provide any further info to DOJ in regards to your AW registration ended the very moment they approved it. After that, anything you decide to give to them is strictly voluntary.Comment
