You are military with PCS orders?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I want to see how this shakes out. How do you volreg an off roster handgun while your aren't a resident.

If California doesn't allow him to sell the pistol isn't that against federal law? Isn't there a law where the state must treat service people on orders the same as local residents.

If he is there at a permanent duty station, then he is considered a resident and able to buy firearms.

Call Gussler’s… be prepared to be spoken to like a child, but he’ll give you the answers you’re looking for. All he does is transfers so he knows his sh*t.

What makes you think that you're not a California resident (for purposes of firearms laws)

Keep in mind that residency is defined differently for different purposes. It's irrelevant where you're registered to vote, pay taxes, etc.

Under federal law, if you're stationed in California under PCS orders, you're a California resident for the purposes of federal firearms laws. Please refer to 18USC921(b). California law isn't quite so clear, but don't jump to the assumption that you're a non-resident under California law.

On the question of FFLs in San Diego. Gusslers is good for North county. I like Discount Gun Mart on Morena for midtown. You might try DeChiel or Chula Vista Gun Store for south bay.
