Visiting SoCal for Xmas, coming from AZ questions

I was temporarily exiled to CA back in 11'-12' (college) and during that time was an active calguns lurker/poster. A lot of time has past and accordingly the last time i logged into calguns was April 2015, lol. I'm am very well versed in CA gun laws circa 2012...... however, i know a ton of laws have been passed in the "bad law factory" known as Sacramento since 2012 and honestly because they didnt really affect me, i didnt really keep up with them.

I now live in northern AZ, and we will be visiting my wife's family in riverside area for 3 days during xmas. debating on what gun/s to bring with me. Most of my collection is highly illegal in CA (i am heavily in the NFA Game, most of my pistols have threaded barrels, and most rifles have evil features). only two pistols i own that dont have threaded barrels are my Staccato P and desert eagle (50AE). desert eagle seems a little impractical to bring but it naturally comes with only 7 round mags. any reason i cant bring this? is there any reason why i cant bring my Staccato P into CA, if i leave the 11+ round mags at home and get some 10 round mags? I also have an M1A Socom 16 that came with a 10 round mag (this rifle would have been CA legal in 2012 as it was considered "featureless" back then. remember seeing them for sale at gunshows. has that changed in the last decade?) im guessing everything still locked/unloaded etc? does trunk still constitute "locked".

Thanks in advance, checked the stickies, didn't see anything specific to this question, maybe i looked in wrong place, idk.

I’d leave them all at home and just enjoy the time with your family but that’s just me.

There are no CA laws/regulations that would prohibit a non-resident of CA from legally bringing a .50AE Desert Eagle to CA.

There are no CA laws/regulations that would prohibit a non-resident of CA from bringing a 9x19mm Staccato P with 10 round magazines to CA.

CA laws prohibits a non-exempt person from legally bringing large capacity (11+ rounds) magazines to CA.

CA laws/regulations prohibits the importation and possession of a semi-auto centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine and has restricted features (pistol grip, flash suppressor, folding/telescoping stock, thumbhole stock, forward pistol grip, grenade/flare launcher) to CA.

As long as your Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 does not have any restricted features and only 10 or less round magazines are brought with it, then it is CA legal for you to bring and possess in CA.

Handguns need to be unloaded and in a locked container.

Long guns need to be unloaded and encased or in a locked container.
^Encased = in a fully enclosed container designed for a firearm.

Trunk = a fully enclosed and locked main storage or luggage compartment of a vehicle that is not accessible from the passenger compartment.
^This meets CA's requirement of a locked container.

When outside of a vehicle, the unloaded firearms in the locked containers/encased need to be transported directly to and from authorized locations.
^Authorized locations = places where you can legally possess or discharge a firearm.
