1 in 30 day question re pump shotgun

Does 1 in 30 days from a dealer also apply to a pump shotgun? If no, I need the law section please.

The 1 in 30 day wait applies to handguns and semi-auto centerfire rifles. [PC 27535(a)]

Since a pump-action shotgun is not a handgun or a semi-auto centerfire rifle, the 1 in 30 day wait does not apply.

    Penal Code 27535
    (a) A person shall not make an application to purchase more than one handgun or semiautomatic centerfire rifle within any 30-day period. This subdivision does not authorize a person to make an application to purchase both a handgun and semiautomatic centerfire rifle within the same 30-day period.

Thanks. DOJ rep said if pump shotgun is run today, a handgun cannot be run for another 30 days from today.

This is a recurring anecdote; DOJ rep is wrong.

ETA since it recurs, it seems that's what the reps have been told.

Thanks Librarian. The dealer even mentioned pump shotgun to the rep.

I'm having my dealer DROS the shotgun anyway and will DROS a handgun on 11/12/2021 and see if the transaction gets denied. If it does, I'll deal with it.

Has DOJ put out a legal interpretation on this issue or is there a clarifying regulation?

Regulations require statute authority. For example,
Note: Authority cited: Section 11342.4, Government Code. Reference: Section 11340.5, Government Code.
