Minimum OAL on BBRAW - with or without muzzle device?

So a weekend stuck in CA made me work on one of my BBRAWs, a Galil ACE in 7.62x39. I'm almost done, and am contemplating of unblocking the stock folding mechanism, but I don't want to offend Der Kalifornia Kommissar.

I recall the minimum OAL on a BBRAW can now be as short at 26", right?

Is that measured with or without the removable muzzle device?

I don't have more than 5 years here and I don't want to make any permanent changes to my BBRAWs.

Thanks for the answers in advance!

Minimum overall length of RAW = 26"

Overall length measured with the firearm in the shortest possible firing configuration (stock folded/collapsed) and non-permanently attached muzzle device removed.

      Thank you, Quiet.

Without the muzzle device, unfortunately, it is only about 25 15/16". I suppose if I add something on the rear of the rearmost part of the gun, even a non-functional but removable screw with a thick head that projects to the rear, that would make it just past 26", right?

This is to illustrate my idea:

Of course I'd use a much shorter screw, as long as the OAL can exceed 26", this is just a proof of concept.

(But then again, this gun would only remain in CA for another 5 years, maybe it is not worth it for me to scar up the gun forever just to be able to fold the silly stock.)

Disregard the non-permanently attached muzzle device needing to be removed.
^Forgot there was a difference and remembered this morning. Sorry for the misinformation.

CA assault weapons laws requires non-permanently attached muzzle device to be removed when measuring overall length. [11 CCR 5471(x)]
^Overall length needs to be 30" or greater in order to not be considered an assault weapon. [PC 30515(a)(3),(11)]

Per CA case laws [People v Rooney, People v Stinson], CA SBR/SBS laws does not require non-permanently attached muzzle device to be removed when measuring overall length.
~In both of those cases, the non-permanently attached muzzle devices were not removed when they measured overall length.
^Overall length needs to be 26" or greater in order to not be considered a SBR/SBS. [PC 17170(b) and 17180(b)]

        Therefore...

When measuring the overall length of a semi-auto rifle or semi-auto firearm that is not a pistol or rifle, to determine if it meets the 30" minimum length requirement, the non-permanently attached muzzle device needs to be removed.

When measuring the overall length of a rifle or shotgun, to determine if it meets the 26" minimum length requirement, the non-permanently attached muzzle device can remain attached.

        Tangent:
Under Federal laws/regulations and BATFE rulings...
... When measuring overall length of a Title 1 Rifle, Title 1 Shotgun, Title 2 SBR, or Title 2 SBS; the firearm is measured in the longest possible firing configuration (stock extended/deployed) and non-permanently attached muzzle device is left attached.
... When measuring overall length of a Title 1 Handgun, Title 1 Other, or Title 2 AOW; the firearm is measured in the shortest possibile firing configuration (arm stablizing brace removed or, if permanently attached, folded/collapsed) and non-permanently attached muzzle device removed.
