Question about a RAW application that didn't process

During the recent "bullet button AW" registration I attempted to register two rifles using the CFARS system. I received an email requesting that I correct the model number on one of the rifles from "MR762 A1" to " MR762A1" (they didn't like the space lol). I logged on and made the correction.

Many months later they sent me a list of my RAWs which included rifles from the 1999 registration but the MR762A1 wasn't on the list... I logged onto CFARS and there are no active applications and I'm not seeing a way to look up past transactions.

The rifle is featureless and I'm wondering if it's safe to sell it or if I should attempt to contact the DOJ for confirmation that it wasn't registered?

Any advice is appreciated.

Weapon was not featureless when the application was filed

He said “is” not “was”, though if it was at the time that would explain lack of a letter, it would have resulted in an app rejection notice.

It is *maybe* telling that the application doesn’t show up in CFARS because mine and I assume everyone else’s complete registrations still show up as pending, even today.

OP look under CRIS transaction history, not under CFARS pending cart. CFARS home -> CRIS home -> CRIS transaction history on right side menu.

Thank you, I did not explore CRIS, only CFARS. Both rifles are in fact listed in my CRIS transaction history, and the model designation on the HK is in the format they requested. As you correctly pointed out, the "status" column for both of these rifles indicates "In Progress".

Sounds like I should call DOJ to cancel the registration which should reveal the actual status of the weapon. And when I make this inquiry I'll make a point of disclosing that the weapon was made featureless before the registration deadline so I'm not inviting trouble. Would that be the best course of action in your opinion, or is there another way to inquire about the status?
