How does wife get deceased husbands guns in her name?

CA residents, husband died, no will, they were legally married.
Can she send in Op Law form with her $19 once she gets her FSC?

They are all hand guns and she wants to get a CCW so she needs them in her name.

Assuming all the probate things are complete, yes, that's the way to do it.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I haven't kept up on it, but can we assume there is even a probate involved? We are told there is no will and I assume there is no trust agreement. Last I heard there was no need to conduct a probate of many small estates, if no real estate was owned Even if there was real estate, I don't recall whether or not it is considered part of the probate estate if it was held jointly (or as community property by a husband and wife).
Looking at Librarian's post, he appears right on as usual, if you understand him his comment on probate being complete assumes that this is a matter requiring probate.
