California CCW and carrying unlocked guns

If you have a California CCW and have 3 guns listed as being carried concealed why do they feel it's necessary to have any other pistols that you are transporting to the range or really anywhere, locked?
Really, you're driving down the road with a couple of legally loaded pistols on you yet any other guns you have with you must be locked up with the ammunition stored separately. Are they afraid you are going to get in a situation where you would rather stop and load some other pistol in your car rather that use the one loaded on your person? Or, maybe they don't have to be locked, I don't know. Do you?

You seem.to be under the impression that these "common sense gun laws" have remote connections to common sense.

Much like the 10 day wait past the first firearm.

It's simply a way to make a gun owner's life more complicated than it needs to be.

    All about control.

You're kidding right? Do you think that the LTC absolves someone from transport laws for guns not listed on the permit? Believe it or not some people take more than a few guns to the range, and some of those may not be listed on their LTC. Those people follow the law's for transporting the guns not on their permit.

Simple logic does not apply in the intelligence vacuum of CA... "hold on a minute give me time to uncase, load and shoot with my other gun". Yep right in there with 10 wait and roster. I can't wait until 16 year olds get to vote here right along with non-citizens. Interesting how courts have held that a 16 year old brain is not fully developed (let alone mature) such that a convicted youth will only serve until 25 years old for killing people. Logic simply does not apply.

'California laws are stupid/evil/incomprehensible' is off-topic for this forum.

          Duplicate, too.

Yes, handguns NOT listed on your license must be transported unloaded, in a completely-enclosing locked case.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
