    Selling via PPT

    Hello all,

I'm looking to purchase a home in a couple of months, and going to have to sell part of my collection of handguns to pad the financials a bit more (closing costs, etc.). I have friends who are interested to buy handgun(s) off of me, but I have heard that I may get ATF's/DOJ's attention and get questioned if I sold and transferred more than one handgun at one time to one person, since I may be suspected of acting as a dealer?! I am skeptical of all second hand info so just wanted to confirm with FFL dealers or others in the know, if this is true, and whether anyone here who have transferred multiple handguns via PPT to one person at one time actually got a phone call questioning intent?

I hope my question is clearly, and thanks in advance for your help.

I have transfer multiple handguns in one transaction, zero issues.

Just remember don't go over 5 transaction per calendar year on handguns and you'll be fine.

You heard nonsense 5 transactions per year with many handguns per transaction.

What you all are telling me was my understanding for many years, but California changes laws/regulations like wet diapers so wanted to make sure.
