    CFARS APPLICATION INCOMPLETE?

I received an Email stating my application Is incomplete on my factory New Mini Draco Pistol that I've possessed for now 3 years, My question And concern is which would apply to my Pistol, I did not check any of the four selection characteristics from the get go I felt none applied.

"The California Department of Justice has received your electronic AB 1135/SB 880 Assault Weapon Registration; however, it cannot be processed for the following reason(s):You have not marked any additional characteristics that classify this firearm as an assault weapon. Review and update the "Additional Firearm Characteristics" to reflect the characteristics that apply to your firearm. Please refer to California Code of Regulations, title 11, section 5471"

So I logg in on my CFARS account and It shows four options on additional characteristics selection.

    "Additional Firearm Characteristics"

    (1)Second Handgrip*
(2)Shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer's hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
(3)The capacity to accept a detachable Magazine Outside the Pistol Grip*
(4)Threaded Barrel (capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer)

It has a bullet button, presumably. Therefore, under the new definitions applicable here, it has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip. The handguard is probably a barrel shroud. And it has a threaded barrel. So 3 of the 4 characteristics apply. You filled it out wrong.

You should probably detach the upper from the lower until your registration comes through since we're past the grace period now.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

You need to check all four of them.

Has a barrel shroud, which also serves as a second handgrip.
Plus mag outside grip and threaded barrel, so all four should be checked.

TIMDPS is right--I didn't think about the handguard meeting the regulatory definition of the second handgrip. It does.
