Is the Ruger Precision Rifle Legal in Kalifornia?

Is the Ruger Precision rifle legal in California? If legal, can it be used for deer hunting? https://www.ruger.com/products/preci...le/models.html

Yes, it is a bolt action rifle. Used for deer hunting, would not be on my list of rifle's I'd take on a deer hunt. 9 pounds before you put any type of optic on it is not my idea of something I want to carry around in the woods on a hunt.

It has evil features that is why I was asking. It definitely would attract attention on a hunt by any law enforcement upon further inspection. Yes, I agree too heavy for a hunt. With a decent optic you are easily over 10 lbs, maybe pushing 11.

AW law's apply to center fire semi-auto's, for now. I've seen the Ruger for sale in my lgs. Kind of pricey and I'm not a fan of pistol grip's on bolt guns. I'm sure for the intended purpose of the rifle and similar rifles it's fine, just doesn't appeal to me.
