    Transfer of deceased relatives firearms

My uncle purchased a 1911 and a shotgun several years before he met and married my aunt (early 90s). My uncle passed away suddenly about 12 years ago. My aunt is now trying to get rid of the firearms and wants to give them to me.

I dont think i would qualify for intrafamiliar transfer. My aunt has no documents on the weapons but has no reason to believe they were illegally purchased.

Am i correct in thinking i have to do a PPT through a FFL? Are there any documents i would need to provide to legally transfer to me? Any legal loopholes i should lookout for? I do own several firearms and posses a FSC so im not worried about me.

    Appreciate the help.....

Standard PPT, same as if you were buying from anyone else.
$35 transfer fee, you'll need proper ID and proof of residence along with the FSC.

They don’t need any extra documents at the dealer, the seller just needs a CA ID. $35 for the first gun + $10 for each extra gun.
