Your post was taken down I'm guessing because the mods also felt it was not legal.

I think I even posted the State a Federal laws that were being violated.

and FYI the verbiage on the Vol Reg letter about selling is the same for any vol reg firearms, not specifically 80%. All other laws still need to be followed.

Hopefully this won't come back to bite you or the dealer you used in the future.

Especially since you are now posting you did it. Maybe the mods will do you a favor and delete this post as well.

Oh no....the state did something stupid....say it ain't so.

State and Federal law say no.
Both say something akin to you can make your own gun for personal use but to sell it you need a license cause now you are making for sale.

Watch the CRPA webinar on Ghost guns 6/28/18 for the details.

Federal See ATF Rule 2010-10 & 2015-1 "it is generally illegal under federal law to sell or transfer a firearm manufactured from an 80% receiver unless the firearm was manufactured by a licensed manufacturer"
CA see PC 29180(d) "the sale or transfer of any firearm manufactured or assembled pursuant to these requirements is prohibited."

          Under CA laws...
Starting 01-01-2019, the transfer of ownership of self-made/assembled firearms in CA is illegal. [PC 29180(d)(1)]
The only exemption to this is to surrender those firearms to law enforcement for destruction. [PC 29180(d)(2)&(3)]
