But, like I said earlier until the injunction is decided enforcement is on hold.Comment

I have to go over that again, I think the law was upheld/challenged, possessing a grandfathered magazine, Preet 2000, was still acceptable since they knew ex post facto laws, which are mentioned in the constitution, would be suited and the state cannot enact eminent domain without proper compensation. Looking at the bill there is no mention of hi cap mags in AWs that I noticed, but it says attaching a mag greater than 10 rounds in a fixed weapon makes it an AW.
Once that issue is settled, the law will be in full force. All they need to do is tell the state that the police need to accept magazines at gun buybacks, OR provide an exception such as "keep or offer for sale within California, unless the buyer is located in a state that allows receipt of such magazines"
Right now, we have no ability to be compensated unless we physically carry our magazines out of California and sell them there.
All the state needs to do is provide AN avenue that allows for compensation and the law stands.
Sorry... I don't agree with it either, but it's a done deal and it will not be reversed unless and until it makes it to SCOTUS.- Rich
