PTR 91 rifle issue with AW reg?

So I just noticed there is no model number stamped on either of my PTR 91 rifles, so what do I mark for model number, these were purchased in CA in 2013 and 2014. I am just thinking this will error as they will look at the photos and see no model name but PTR was only making this one rifle back then.

    Suggestions??

It should be on the top of the receiver by the serial number.

PTR told me model # is not required per ATF. Use SN or N/A and noted in the comments.

Isn't the model name something like "Classic" or "A3R" or "A3S", something along those lines?

Ya, after my Alexandria Pro Fab rejection I am waiting for this to be rejected as well.

Unlike my APF it would appear that the PTR has illegal engraving from the manufacturer.

They advertise mine as the PTR91A3. This means they assigned a model name. Once they do this THEN THEY ARE REQUIRED TO ENGRAVE THE MODEL NAME. There is no such on my firearm.

Is it illegal to have engraving done to show such model number or is that illegal?

                  On my Alexandria Pro Fab
-Registered model as Pro Fab 308 as that's what is stated on the DROS
-Rejected due to no photo showing engraving of model number
-Contacted manufacture-until 2018 they only made firearm parts, lowers, etc and had a large and small receiver-no completed firearms were assembled. Therefore they had no model name. As such according the the ATF in plain language web page the manufacture is not required to specify the model number
-I then resubmitted to attest that this has no model name assigned and has N/A
-Second rejection stating that the model name is Pro Fab 308
-Submitted and issue asking how to proceed because there is nothing illegal here and they are refusing to register my rifle
                  -Waiting and waiting and waiting
-I will resubmit soon as my 30 days to respond is coming up.

For my PTR91-they have not got to that one yet. I suspect they will reject it. Not sure how to proceed since the manufacture had a model name but did not engrave it.

                  Has anyone successfully registered
                  1) Alexandria Pro Fab self assembled (not self built) and if so how did you do the model name
                  2) PTR91-and how did you do the model name and photo requirement.

My PTR-91 A3R was initially rejected, because A3R is not on the receiver. I was instructed to put:

                    Make: PTR-91
                    Model: PTR

                    It was then accepted.

I will give that a try when they reject mine to incomplete. I put exactly what you did except without the spaces and dashes as the instructions said for serial numbers and model names (ie. PTR91A3R as written on the paper label affixed to the plastic case it came in).

what does your DROS say for model? A3 can mean the stock change. Those are just German nomenclature PTR uses for marketing. Put whatever is listed on the DROS. the Alex pro..same thing. put whats on the DROS for model. If the kick back contact them and scan and send your dros to them or give them your DROS number.

They care more about what is on the receiver. Several of mine were kicked back with instructions to put info that matches the receiver contrary to what my DROS said including my PTR.

I suspect featureless will be banned with no more grandfathered registrations possible.

Just suck it up and surrendery you property like in New York and New Jersey.

Or move to more free state.
