    Ammo laws

Can someone give me guidance on the new laws. I was under the impression that fnf can only be 500rds month, I have one guy say that what happens is that the ammo is surrendered to an ffl, any rnd count and I purchase from them. In this case do you pay tax. T hen another guy tells me the ftf law doesn't go into effect until July, again I thought it was January. Any guidance helps

Seller can only sell up to 500 rds. You can buy as many as you want. Go to Ffl,both hand ids, pay $5 to ffl, walk out with ammo. No tax, it’s treated just like a ppt.

The law is in effect as of Jan1, 2018.

To sell more than 500 rounds in a month, the seller must have an ammunition seller's permit.

Buyers may buy all the ammo they like; the sale(s) must be face to face.

Buying over the internet is legal, IF the ammo is delivered to a CA ammunition seller's permit holder first. The ASPH may charge a fee for that service.

I guess an ammo-PPT ought to work, as Sig says, above.

I don't know for sure about tax.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
