    I would ignore him.

If based on an inheritance they can be sold in volume within 60 days IIRC.

    Otherwise:

5 handgun PPTs per year, any number of handguns per transaction, sell them here.

Long guns, no limit, sell them here.

More money for the beneficiaries if sold in CA.

Lmfao. DOJ told you that huh? Prime example as why we always tell people to never listen to the DOJ. They are notorious for giving out illegal info.

It sounds like someone may have a problem with doing business as a firearms dealer without a license.

Selling a collection is not an issue...

If the DOJ has a question, the executor provides a list of the assets being liquidated... not a big deal

Get the CA DOJ guy's name, then cal the ATF and ask if you can cross state lines and sell private party firearms in a state that you are Not a resident of...

Will you offer the off list handguns via consignment to Californians or sell them out of state?

OP, you may want to consider using an auction house too. PM me if you want me to walk you through it I've done it many times.

Best money would be by selling them himself but most people don't want to deal with massive amounts of PPT's and listing on Gunbroker.

I'm thinking the DOJ may have meant to sell to a FFL out of state not just sell to anyone randomly at an out of state gun show.

Why sell out of state? Worth way more selling in CA.
