Quick question about AB 1664 and RAWs

First time posting, so apologies if I butcher something. I read the short of the new bills being proposed in the state. I'm interested in purchasing an AR-15 pattern rifle within the future (before the law takes effect).
    • If I purchase an AR-15 (with bullet button) and register it before the law takes effect, am I required to convert it to be compliant, or would I register it as an assault weapon?
    • If I'm allowed to register it as an assault weapon, am I required to keep it in its CURRENT configuration (i.e, not able to remove bullet button)?

    Thanks for your help.

FAQ - nobody knows for sure, or can know, until we see the regulations governing registration - expect those in 2017 sometime.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
