    Moving from WA to CA

I thought of more questions that the search hasn't been able to answer me.
Since I am still a WA resident with a WA resident ccw (it lasts for 5 years) When I buy a handgun in WA I can take it home same day, When I visit home and if I want to buy a handgun do any of the CA restrictions apply? I'm assuming no but I want to make sure. My car will still be registered in WA at my parents house in seattle so I don't have to deal with smog and that crap. I will eventually have to file for residency in CA so thats where my confusion with buying a handgun in WA and bringing it back with me comes from.

Depends on why you are moving.

If you will be a resident CA college student, BATFE says you are a CA resident for gun-buying purposes.

That leaves you as 'visitor' for bringing guns into CA; just don't bring in illegal stuff.

If you are here as active-duty military, same thing.

But otherwise, if you're here for work or whatever, you will not be able to legally buy guns in CA because, as you say, you will be a resident of WA.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Why are you moving to CA? When you ask about visiting home, do you mean visiting WA? Lastly, what do you mean when you talk about eventually having to file for residency?
