    SSE2 slide replacement?

Question about legality, and if legal are there companies doing it?

I want a Sig P226 MK5, but the only CA compliant version has the stupid magazine loaded/unloaded indicator. I previously did SSE for the barrel. Is it legal to do the same with the slide?

Sell the handgun with the stupid indicator and then after completion to exchange for the slide without an indicator.

If so, I want a Sig P226 MK5 without the stupid indicator.

    Anyone know?

It's a slide, you can just buy a replacement. Can't say I've ever heard of a retailer handling slide replacements for the stupid LCI like an SSE barrel swap. I'm not sure that would even be doable for the shop, since they'd have to be buying slides constantly from SIG, or selling customers a P226 without LCI and swapping it to a slide with it, then back again. It's not exactly as cheap as welding on a barrel extension or using an insert to do that with slides.

just buy a replacement slide on gunbroker, no FFL needed. Sig also sells the Caliber Xchange kits that could work, but it won't have the anchor. Or PPT non-CA one since you are willing to spend.

SSE for a barrel? Magazine loaded indicator?? Sell the pistol then exchange slides??? Your post makes no sense to me.
