So I have the opportunity to acquire a Ruger LCP from my brother-in-law who is LE. I have done my research and found that it is good to go, but I just want to double check here before we go to do the transfer and find out I missed something and it is not good to go. It is by no means a straw purchase as my BIL has owned the firearm for more than 5 years. He noticed that I had interest in it and said he would transfer it to me as long as it is totally with in the law. Am I good to go?

Just like any other CA resident, LE are permitted to buy guns and tire of them, and sell them PPT to other CA residents.
There are complicating situations, but as described, this is not one of them.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment
