Help with ar and ak to California

Sorry if this post is in the wrong location. (I'm new)

I have an ar-15 and an ak47 I would like to move to California and need some help figuring out how to make them legal if at all possible.

    My model numbers are:

    Colt m4 carbine Le18

    Century arms gp1975

    Thank you in advance.

go featureless on the AK, u can get a kydex grip wrap from fellow calgunner munkeeboi (just specify what kinda grip you are running and whether u are a left or right handed shooter)

Thank you! I didn't realize that the ak would be that easy. Hopefully the ar somewhat easy too.

If the AR is a Colt with "AR-15" on the roll mark it is a no go for CA . . . banned by name.

What is the type/maker of your AK?

Sorry, just read the models on your original post. Those models are okay as long as evil features are removed, or you install mag locks and no mags over 10 rounds.

              And the general guidance is
              (1) the flowchart, linked on every page here: http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf
              and

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Thank you all for the help! I think I'll go with the kydex grip in ak to make it featureless and a bullet button on the ar.

One more question though. While I was looking into these some people are saying California gunsmith needs to install them and others say I can install it myself. Does anyone have any insight on this?

The mods must be done before the gun crosses the state line.

If you already lived in CA, you might order something shipped to a CA FFL with an 'assault weapons' permit, who could legally import the thing, and then they might be able to do the conversion.

Since you live out of state, not needed. Do it yourself.
