Traveling thru cities (SF, LA, Oak, etc..) ordinances against possession LCM?

Now that the state is flooded with these LCMs, there are simply many cities around California that still have local ordinances against possession of these mags. Would it be forbidden to simply drive through these cities, or stay a night in these cities with newly acquired LCMs? Or do these only apply to locals in those cities?

Don’t worry about San Francisco they don’t enforce anything over here.

Now that's funny. Well, no it's not. Kinda sad really. It used to be a beautiful city.

I go the bay area freq, is there a reason why you don't think Oakland's is specifically in effect? as far as I know, it is still listed in their ordinance. Anyone that lives in the bay area should know about this.

Oakland's is listed here and updated since 2018, and grandfathered LCMs were banned since 2016

I think Oakland also has an ordinance about drug use, graffiti, stealing cars, and murder. I guess those aren't in effect either.

They may be doing it unknowingly because they weren't aware that individual cities have ordinances that are still in effect regardless of that "free" time period for the rest of the state.

I dont think anyone of us are deliberately performing those acts...The idea is to be kept informed and stay within the law.

                  Don't ask, don't tell.

For a start: make sure your registration is up to date, your brake lights work, don't speed or run red lights, don't have any active warrants, and don't drive down the street while brandishing.

I travel frequently thru 3 of those cities and have never had any problems.

If you still worry, keep your gear in locked containers and demand a warrant if you do manage to get stopped.

Just make the mags self-identify as "undocumented" and all will be well.

You must not go to the city often. The police have better things to do, like stare at homeless people ****ting on the street.
