I wanted to thank the "act quickly" crowd

I just wanted to say thank you to all the calguns members who predicted this would be a very short window, and encouraged fast action. I would generally have a wait and see approach, but doing so would have resulted in a missed opportunity.

You all helped people get off their butts, and the resulting demand brought more vendors in quickly as well.

    Just thanks

It was always going to be a limited time window, the question was for how long? You snooze, you lose is the mantra that best encapsulated the attitude of the moment.

Civil disobedience takes many forms, and many of us saw an opportunity to make a statement which is probably what Benitez planned all along. Now the lawyers have the most overwhelming argument about "common use" ever. It made it almost impossible for the anti-gun movement to ever say that people don't want or need standard magazines.

Companies do things only to make money, but some retailers must have had a flash of solidarity and guts to do what they did. Yes, they made tons of money. But many did it early, which was a huge risk, and no one price gouged from what I saw.

We got the word out well here on CG, congratulations!

Michel and associates did a masterful job. They played Chess while Bercerra acted like a bewildered teenager drunk on power. Just as Bercerra made the argument that there was no evidence of massive shipments (contradicting his previous statement), the NRA-ILA put in that sworn statement from PSA that thousands of orders had shipped. That was a hay-maker to the face.

It's a big bloody nose to the anti-gun movement and a nice small victory that we haven't had in California in decades. It gave us a much better chance to see SCOTUS eventually.

This last week has been amazing. I don't think I'll ever forget the initial reactions to the 3/29 ruling, to all the chatter to "can we buy standard caps now?", then to the very first vendors declaring they would begin shipping to California such as Prepper's (though they did waffle a bit on Saturday 3/30) and Jestice Arms, then all the big boys such as Brownells and PSA started to declare they would begin shipping to California. The flood gates have opened, and Becerra was presented with a big fat "FU" fait accompli that there were now millions and millions of standard capacity magazines and meme drums shipping into California, and there was nothing his temper tantrum or authoritarian Napoleon complex could do to stop it. Glorious.

          Buy now was my mantra.

Twas awesome times jumping through the limited "window" with all you Calgunners after Benitez threw the brick and broke it for us

And to all the vendors with the balls to place the proverbial mattresses for the safe landing,
you guys came through for us, It won't be forgotten.

Also, It didn't go unnoticed on other gun boards in free states that other brethren held off on new mag purchases, And were selling their own personal stock at cost to use so we could get ours, a shout out to them as well is deserved
          bros.png

And a big thank's to Michel and Associates for their work.

Thank's to butlers for the list of vendors.

we need to vote with our wallets and remember who these companies were and continue to support them. I placed 9 orders for this reason. As more companies were announcing I placed orders to support and show my gratitude and basically until I ran out of stuff I could justify ordering. Then I ordered some more anyway.

I only know a few people and they were pretty "ho hum" about it. Really disappointing
March 29- April 5, 2019- The Million Mag March. Thank you, Judge Benitez and all the vendors

It also makes it hugely difficult to argue irreparable harm with respect to those that purchased during the window -- the deed is done; not a situation where someone is trying to prevent the alleged harm from taking place. Difficult for DOJ to do much by 5:00 p.m. today.

I had family (one of who's a Fresno pd cop) who were in complete denial. Just simply didn't believe it. I gave them plenty of references (Michel and Associates, Calguns threads). It's fine, I guess.

I did and a couple bought way more than me I'm just glad to have this board to read and learn because I don't know everything. Without the proof here and lack of news media I would have never known anything.

As someone who bought an OLL from 10% Firearms at the San Jose Gun Show in 2005, the word on the street was, we have only 2 weeks to buy. Didn't wait then, didn't wait now. Thanks to all the vendors who stood up for us!
