And so starts the flood of used 10 rds mags in the marketplace?

Since friday night, I have seen a glut of standard capacity mags flood the marketplace. ARF.com sellers are helping with lower priced units for Cali addresses only. Makes sense.

But why is the marketplace being flooded with 10rd mags with prices that are close to new mags? It people were selling them cheap or on eNay for our fellow shooters in other restricted states, I get that.

But asking full price for a used 10rd mag, makes no sense.

The prices for EVERYTHING in the market place is ridiculous. I've seen USED scopes that I can buy for the same price or cheaper brand new! (and of course we know how everyone tries to gouge on the off roster guns!) So are you REALLY surprised?

Off roster pistols - supply and demand, I get that.

Used gear - someone overpaid and is trying to recoup his investment, I can write that off too.

But 10 rd mags, why would anyone want to buy one right now?

I plan on selling all mine, to people still trapped in states with limits. But mine will all go up for 5 bucks.

we do all realize that in a week or two even possession will be illegal again right? so why are people getting rid of their 10 rounders? you'll need them again after your inevitable boating accident.

I’ll be dumping some of my 10 round mags cheap on the marketplace soon. Once this ruling is confirmed and permanent.

Real capitalistic "free markets" are very price competitive, and the ones who refuse or are unable to compete lose out. Particularly when it comes to commodities.

Yes, an that starts to touch on the idea of "artificial markets" like creating a vacuum to increase the demand with a limited supply.... such as a Full Auto in a free state you were allowed to own one....

It's an artificial market because you can not import manufacture blah blah after 1968..... only fa that was already here by 1968 is legal- no new ones available.... artificial market....

If it weren't for this law and artificial market... I should be able to buy an M4 or MP5 for a couple grand.....

If it is for AKs; the mags are not super interchangeable. So; they hold some value if they're known good to go for a particular model or brand of rifle. yeah; you could buy that generic mag and hope for the best and maybe try sanding it... or just buy this one.
