Is the Benitez Mag ruling the best thing in CG history since OLL?

What say you old timers and newbies I have been here over a decade and things always seem darkest before the sunrise but it really feels like a new day for CA.

This has to be the best news I can remember since the early days of OLLs (off-list lowers for you new guys bringing back ARs in CA).

What do you guys think?

Peruta was good--a lot of people got CCWs that couldn't get them before. Even after it was vacated, policies changed in high-population counties in SoCal.

In my 5+ years on Calguns this is BY FAR the biggest deal. Bigger than if the roster went away IMO (really hoping for that too one day).

I would say for me Peruta was the best news to come down the pike. Having standard cap mags is great and all but being able to actually carry is more important.

IMHO, if/when the Handgun Roster List is overturned, it would surpass the Benitez Mag ruling for me.

There are a lot of new handgun models I would love to own and acquire a bit easier @ LGS and a lot more affordable prices.

I'm just into my 50's, so I already had plenty of the grandfathered SCM/LCM/Drums for my RAWs' and pistols. I did the 1999 SCM/Drums run2019 SCM/LCM/Drums run.

Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate all the hard work and dedication that went into the Benitez Mag ruling! I've thoroughly enjoyed all the new packages that have started to arrive.

Short lived?! My Calguns build parties go back to your join date 2008.

OLL's and the original bullet button was the most important event. Rulings which legitimized them were very important, including from the CA Supreme Court. It most importantly pushed back against the fear of riding the edge, creating a culture in CA of pushing back against state overreach, following the letter of the law while developing innovative solutions for getting what you want regardless. Wing grips, and other similar featureless solutions owe their existence to this early push back and the culture it created.

This mag ruling I'd put in 2nd place.
