When gifting mags to family (immediate and/or not) does it have to be documented somewhere in order to show proof?

Some people have suggested a notarized letter to document the gift occurred after PC 32310 was enjoined after 3/29...but of course the burden of proof is up to the state to prove that your gift recipient acquired the magazine illegally in some hypothetical future situation wherein PC 32310 is back in effect after the Ninth Circuit probably screws us all in appeal.

Theyve been on nationwide backorder from FN for weeks. FN and Hk operate fairly simalarly with only releasing their restocks in big batches; leaving extended windows of no-stock between restocks
Only one store had them and he’s quickly running out of stock as he’s the last guy that had em (and he’s fairly unknown)

I understand us Californians have a lot of pride in our accomplishments, but let’s not be narcissistic here
