He paints those while playing with his daughter.

        Probably his only redeeming factor.

I read today that Schiff has the largest election fund. I guess Nancy has been nice to him.

I've always voted in person, but it has made little difference here in California. We (conservatives) are the minority, plain and simple.
In fact, even if we were a majority, I would suspect the other party would still fudge the election(s) in their favor.
Sorry, but I'm getting rather skeptical about so-called "free" elections, and am feeling like they are more like "rigged" elections.
That's not going to stop me from voting Republican, though.

Given our top two primary system who stands the best chance against Portantino? All choices look bad but maybe I can keep him out of that seat.

Schiff and Portantino are not competing against each other.

Schiff is vacating the House seat for which Portantino is running and is trying to pick up the Feinstein Senate seat.

If money means anything (and it does) the following have each spent over $1M on their campaigns:
                  Anthony Portantino (D)
                  Nick Melvoin (D)
                  Michael Feuer (D)
                  Ben Savage (D)
                  Laura Friedman (D)

Portantino has represented a portion of the district in the CA Senate for the past 12 years. In his last primary, he took 99% of the votes. During the main election, he took 64% of the vote over his Republican opponent.

Feuer is a fervent anti-gunner who has plagued us in the CA Legislature and as Los Angeles City Attorney.

That gives you 3 to pick from.

They are all bad. But at this point anything but Portantino or Der Feuer

Worse than Kevin De Leon and Adam Schiff? That's bad.

Feuer should be in jail over the LADWP fiasco. In an any event, with that choice CA is screwed.

To update everyone on the results, Laura Friedman (D) and Alex Balekian (R) advanced to the general election. California's 30th Congressional District has a partisan lean of D+23, so Friedman will represent Adam Schiff's former seat next year.

                          Goodbye, Anthony Portantino.

Al these schmucks trample on citizen rights and get applauded by their embicile followers. Those are the trophies they swagger to claim ' higher office'. Tapeworms!

The Congressional district where this election took place covers an area essentially impossible for Republicans to win. Blocking Portantino from upgrading his office to Washington, D.C. was the best realistic outcome.
