CA Correctional Peace Officers support progressive incumbent Rob Bonta for CA AG

As usual the LE unions , supposedly full of pro gun / republican members ONCE AGAIN are supporting the liberal pro criminal anti Gun democrats . In this case, progressive CA Attorney General incumbent Rob Bonta

California Correctional Peace Officers Association as well as the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association

AS long as the union representatives are elected by the members...EVERY MEMNBER OF THE Correctional Peace Officers Association can and should be held accountable for the actions made in their collective name!

    OCE,

Last night I made a post pointing out reason for this turnkey Union support. But it didn't survive the move from original location.

The CalDemRats recently approved a MASSIVE increase in pay and pension bennies. And provided a link to an article explaining same.

Now POOF, Oh well, not the first time.

OK< I FOUND IT In "GENERAL"

OCE double posted in different forums. Which is No No for reasons like this.

Well calling Guards, LEO is a big stretch. Since they only enforce the laws, within the walls of a prison.

But of course they endorsed him. Did you see the massive salary and benny increase the demturds gave them? And many have their own high paying side jobs, smuggling drugs and cell phones into lockup.

Think about this from the viewpoint of the union members. They could put their support behind a candidate who is absolutely guaranteed to lose. For example a republican. But why bother? All it would do is please some politicians who are completely irrelevant (the few dozen republican members of the state legislature), and piss off everyone else.

If someone is guaranteed to win, then endorsing them is a win-win situation.

In this spirit, I will support the sun rising in the east!

So the corrections officers are allowing their union to throw the 2A, officer safety, public safety and the rule of law under the bus for a payout. GREAT!

And Corrections Officers deserve the respect and the support of the public because why?

In many cases the rank and file are not even polled before union management endorses a candidate.

Bull crap...The rank and file VOTE every year to elect their union representatives/officers. THEY ARE THEREFORE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE ACTIONS TAKEN IN THEIR NAME!

I've long realized that if a California LEO union supports a candidate, that candidate is going to be rabidly anti-gun.

I keep wondering why LEOs say they hate CA gun laws just like the rest of us, yet their union leadership is what it is. There seems to be a bit of two-facedness on this issue.

Is the management self-appointed? Or did the rank and file elect them?

The rank and file could EASILY vote them out...but don't bother to or don't care to...either way the result is the same.

Fortunately, the unions cannot vote on behalf of the LEOs. Fingers crossed that the individual LEOs vote independent of the endorsement.
