buying an AR 15- now or wait?

so heres the thing. ive always wanted to make a AR, just been waiting on saving the money.

do you think i should just take some savings out to put one togther now, before obama is elected?
my reasoning is after he is elected people will rush to buy up guns because he is a pretty big anti gunner thinking he will ban stuff further.
at the very least i could get a lower, and just buy the upper at a later date.

suggestions? do you think an AR lower will be the same price after the elections, SHOULD obama be elected?

From what I'v heard, many AR makers seem to have backlogs on certain parts like barrels, bolts, etc. With the elections so close, AR's can't get any cheaper.

yea im just a young mechanic, so my income isnt too high, and im trying to pay off student loans from bmw training, and loans on tools and my car.

however i can get some money together for this AR build if i try. thanks for the advice, ill go down and get a lower paper work started.

should i just drop down and get the extras off rifle gear now as well?

If you can swing it, get the ball rolling on a stripped lower. I just pulled the trigger on a Stag lower last week. I cant afford to build it right away but at least I will be ahead of the crowd if another banning of firearms comes down the pipe.

I think that depends on how this whole "receiver as other" on the 4473s pan out. If we can build AR pistols, I'd like to grab 3 more frames.
