    Actually that would be easy to disprove...... The Ergonomics of a Mini 14 style stock is better for shooting from the hip, than a pistol grip stock.... Just look at the angle of the wrist in either of them.....

      that and only people in movies shoot anything from the hip. Well; movie characters and people who miss all the time in real life.

      I have a monte carlo ak; yeah I could shoot from the hip... but its one of those 'why' things.
