I am getting way too many staffers who do not sound busy at all, nor overwhelmed by the amount of calls coming in. In fact, most have told me to hold on while they find some paper to write down my information!

No more posting on Calguns until you have called!

They are not going to argue with you. They just want your name, zip code, and position on the particular bills.

By the way, is there a way to find out your District Representative's position on guns, pro- or anti-? ... On second thought, I guess it doesn't matter as long as our opposition is being heard. (But I'd still like to know)

Had to laugh; after I said "I'm calling to respectfully request the Assemblymember oppose a few bills?", the staffer for Quirk-Silva said "Let me guess..." and she proceeded to rattle off all three; SB53, SB808, and SB199. We both got a chuckle, she said lots of calls today about those three, she took my name and zip and thanked me for the call.

/\ They take your zip to see if you're in their voting district. If you're not your info goes in the round file. Calling a politician who knows you can't vote for them is a waste of time. There's no reason to call an assemblyman other than your own.
