What happens if an Off list lower becomes onlist?

What happens to the folks who own legal, off list lowers???
If the state decides to blacklist some more lowers???
    Is that even possible??

I am a newbie, sorry if question is redundant or common knowledge. Still new to CA.

The DOJ surrendered its authority to list any new series members with 2006's AB2728 which became active 1/1/07. This also stopped court determination/ban on any other newly-declared AWs, so all lists of 'named' AWs have been frozen.

It would take new legislation to find other ways to 'list' AWs, and they aren't gonna reverse Ab2728 because that would open up a really crazy can of worms.

Lets say they did bring in new legislation, would the people owning them be grandfathered in?

Either a new period of registration, or a time frame for the flat out surrender or disposal of the firearms.

Don't think it'll happen, or there will be a case like Heller, only exponentially more significant to the definitions of the 2A. I doubt the politicians want that at this time. If more liberal judges get onto the SCOTUS bench, who knows....

You'll go to prison in two weeks for 10 years at least.

Ca does not have to do anything about the OLL epidemic. The Feds will push through an assault bill and them we have to deal with that BS.

Huh, what? CA's intent was to ban all AR and AK series guns in all shapes and forms. The Fed AW law was bad but at least they didn't completely outlaw the AR/AK series.

Thank you for actually answering the OP's question. We often forget that many noobs come here with no real clue about the OLL situation. They ask questions (I know...SEARCH BUTTON) and get smart-alecky answers (I am guilty as well) instead of what they need to know.
