after, by law you need not pay for or take any class until you are approved.

I'm not sure LASD is even requiring appointments, but in any event I'll be filing ASAP. I don't see any reason to wait at this point.

I was going to wait till March 6th to know what the final outcome will be. But after reading Tincon's post, I might just turn in my app and see how that goes.

Should we get a list together for plaintiffs regarding each county…maybe we can pool together money and sue the sheriffs *personally* for civil rights violations after we are denied?

Thats what I did last time... Was gonna do the same again but if you were gonna visit I was gonna wait and see if they took yours.

I might drop a local PD app and an LASD app and see what happens. That way even if LASD denies I may still get an approval from local PD - Id rather have LASD though; just to say I got it from them!

Yeah, and as much as I hate to admit it, it is somewhat convenient to know that LASD is required to accept applications and can't play any games with requiring an application at the PD level.
