Anti-gun meeting, Mountain View City Hall 2/8/2014 9:30 AM

In case the webpage is modified:

Gun Violence Reduction for Local Communities (Action Planning Session)
Join us for a free community forum on gun violence reduction measures at the local level.

Come together with us as we learn more about best practices for local ordinances and measures that can be achieved in each of our cities.

This forum will feature legal experts and grassroots activists sharing 'lessons learned' on the road to a safer future.

Together we will surface the actions that we can each take to put our values into action.

Doors open at 9:30 AM for coffee and networking. The forum will begin at 10:00 AM.
    Time:
    Saturday, February 8, 2014 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    Host:
    Josh Wolf
    Location:
    City Hall (Mountain View, CA)
    500 Castro St
    Mountain View, CA 94041

    --

The city of Mountain View is not necessarily anti-gun, itself:

Mountain View Mayor John Inks has declined a request to join a coalition of over 1,000 mayors across the country that want gun law reforms. The group was co-founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

    Ugh.

Personally I think using a president's name as a URL for a website devoted to political action is... not right!

I, personally, think it is genius for them to use Obama's name. The sheep of California will blindly do anything for their chosen savior. Band of Liberal Brothers!!

we should show up with big white boards and charts and facts depicting the drop in crime when localities have eased there gun restrictions.

Also, if you live in Mountain View please check in with me via PM. I would like to start putting a team together to preemptively combat any possible gun control measures.

I have a few guys but the more the better.

So, anyone know how big the room is? How many people does it take to stuff it full when the doors open so there is no room left for the anti's?

I suppose I could make an appearance. Not really sure what we are hoping to achieve here. It's unlikely that we will be able to sway anyone who is far enough down the anti path that they're actually attending a meeting like this on a Saturday morning. I guess it'll at least be good to show up and spy on them.

Something something Sun Tsu, something something know your enemy, something something dark side.

Edit: Can't make it. I also have work that day.

It's somewhat large if I recall correctly.

                      Here is the 'project organizer'.

While he claims to fight for 'equal human rights', apparently, he has yet to make the connection between equality and the tools of force that Sam Colt made to ensure all people are equal. This may be an important theme to counter his desire for disarmament.

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat

Looks like googling 'Josh Wolf Mountain View CA' brings up some interesting links, likely to be relevant

Franklin Roosevelt knew of the Pearl Harbor at least attack 6 weeks before it happened. I had first hand telephone conversations with retired Navy officer Duane Whitlock before he passed away in which he told me that he was part of the Navy decoding team that deciphered the Japanese code in the late 1930s. He was part of the group that intercepted the Japanese transmissions that indicated their battle group was going to attack Pearl Harbor and he was present when this information was relayed to upper Navy brass. This was at least six weeks before the attack.

The one to damn is Bloomberg's organization. They are active in this state trying to promote gun control at the local level

Nothing happens to the gun banners? The people are taking away civil rights.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.
