I walked in to LGS, saw a pirate looking black powder pistol, had to have it. Walked out with it. Did not know black powder was the exception to the 10 day wait. It resides about my fireplace now. Arrrgh!

Aldemar, if the "kid" takes you up on your offer, please let us know. I'll bring a lawnchair, an umbrella, and a cooler full of beer to share with anyone who wants to join me for a good laugh as Mr. YoungStudGunExpert walks out of the door with that priceless "WTH" look on his face.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

not in CA of course... but...

I visited family in IA during Christmas... planned to shoot/hunt on Sun/Mon with my cousin, but it was -14 (with wind-chill)...

Stayed inside for a bit and tinkered with a couple guns - ended up needing a barrel nut wrench, so went into town... he ended up leaving with the wrench and a new DPMS 308 AR (took all of 10 minutes).

It's almost worth dealing with the -14 degree weather for that kind of freedom.

I remember Gemco as a membership store-sort of like an early Costco. It had only very minor similarities to Kmart, pretty much only similar because it carried a similar assortment of items, although they weren't as low scale as the K.

It doesn't matter how scary, ugly, uncomfortable, or inconvenient self defense can be. Like it or not, you will never, ever be relieved of your duty and responsibility to defend your life, your family, your country and your freedom.

                  Apparently so.
