Legality of rebuild kits ordered and sent to free state for storage?

Hey all. Since we're almost down to the wire for businesses that will ship rebuild kits to us, we're running outta options for sources, and some rebuild kit sources that have desirable mags in stock are very cost prohibitive at the moment. Likewise, many rebuild kit vendors are out of popular items such as Glock mags.

What is the legality of ordering and sending mags to friends or family in a free state for storage until we can claim them or have them re-shipped to us (if necessary, after the new year?) Billing info would be our own,and shipping name would would be our own, shipped to XX free state.

    Yay? Nay?

If they are out of state, there should be no issues (as long as they are legal in the state you're shipping them to). At least as of now, there is no registry magazine purchases.

State law on possession is only enforceable INSIDE the state.

Well, I should clarify. These mag orders sent outta state would be INTENDED for us, the California buyer, to bring (or have shipped) back to CA to keep as rebuild kits.

This is a non-issue obviously if everything is squared away before the new year.

My question is... Can the mags be shipped to CA or brought into CA personally in 2014 IF the mags were purchased by said CA resident before the new year?

        No.

The other part you will likely have a problem with is most vendors will not ship to sell to you if you have them ship to an out of state address if your CC billing address is a CA address.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

I think doing anything along those lines after new year is asking for a felony.
