How does long gun registration affect me moving to CA next year?

Having hard time finding an answer.
If I move to CA after Jan 2014, do I need to register all of my long guns? Is it best to move before 2014?!

New Resident paperwork will include long guns in 2014, as it already does for handguns.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

It should affect you to change your mind and not move here

You moved the guns here before you came permanently. There isn't language that says you cant take a trip here and leave em at your buddies house or in a storage unit either. All it says is new ones acquired after the date or if you moved here need to be registered.

Start your residency here as soon as possible. Move your stuff here prior to the end of the year.

Or, stay put and stay out of kommiefornia.

            Sorry, not sorry.

If you do end up moving back here after January 1, remember that you don't have to register any firearms that you acquired while previously living in California. You only have to register firearms acquired outside of California.

Also, if you have any minor children (under age 18) who own long guns, they are exempt from the registration requirements for new residents.

Well my parents still live in California, so I can leave them at their house? Thats fine too?

Thats good to know too since I use to live in California and only picked up a few rifles while out of state.
