Comply with new 2014 C&R Law??????

I am on the fence with this new law, I am tired of laws that make me a criminal when I am not. I have had guns all my life and neither shot, robbed, or killed anyone. Now some liberal loon thinks they know how to keep us safer by a new law aimed at only the law abiding folks, while they sell guns to the cartels and enforce only the immigration laws that feel like they want to. I say, I can make up my own mind about who I sell a 50 year old gun to better then they can ever figure out. I for one may just have to not pay attention to this law just like they do with laws thay feel are unjust and do not enforce according to federal law. The whole Thing led by California's wimpy, girlie men leaders is a joke and I do not want to be part of their scared reaction to a criminal element that will not follow any law, period. Call it a civil disobedience act or whatever, this whole state is run by left leaning anti gun loons when the real cause is a criminal element that rotates in and out of prisons at will. End of Rant!!!

Don't put your self at risk by ignoring the law. Especially after posting here. We are no where near the tec point of not being able to resist. Even if all this passes. The Australians made full auto anti aircraft guns out of SMLEs during WWII.

But they forget to notice the obvious: The government no longer cares about trivial things like the Constitution.

The police will arrest you and the courts will convict you then send you to prison.

They will not discuss the Constitution with you.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I have always found that if you're planning on breaking the law, especially something like a gun law, the last thing you want to do is post your intention on an Internet forum. It's even a worse idea to post about it on a forum known to be monitored by various law enforcement entities, and the CADOJ.

I believe he refers to the removal of the 50+ year old long gun exemption from using an FFL, which goes away 1 Jan 2014.

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that a new law is presumed to be Constitutional until actually determined otherwise by a Court.

As much as I think these laws suck, we still have legal means at our disposal to contest them. It is unwise knowingly violate them while we can still pursue legal avenues.

if people never violated unconstitutional laws, we would still be under the prohibition laws. it had allot to due with the fact those laws turned to many people into criminals including police and judges. not saying anyone break laws, just saying.

Guns should only be surrendered one bullet at a time.

                          and here's the gotcha:

grandpa followed the law and use an ffl to transfer a c&r to a buyer next year, turned out buyer is prohibited, so c&r needs to return to seller.

ca doj then runs a background check on seller, who's also prohibited for some bs a long time ago....

Civil disobedience done in the shadows does nobody any good. Comply with the law, pay your extra $35 and a couple trips to your local FFL, and keep the rants in off topic.

                              More like an extra $150+.

#1 less people will be willing to sell to CA, in fact I think this will be a HUGE impact on many surplus rifle sites, thus you will pay more than now for the same long gun.
#2 people will need to pay 2x the shipping to compensate seller for the cost for shipping from 01FFL to 01FFL.
#3 you will have to pay dros from 01FFL import and the cheapest I have found is $65.
#4 not sure if there will be registration fee, but it will be registered.
#5 you will pay tax on shipping and cost of purchase.

All of the reasons above are why I don't have any C&R pistols. By the time you add up the fees you might as well just not purchase at all. PPT's will be less, but that is SEVERELY limiting your options, especially since many people will be less likely to sell since they can only later replace with registered long guns, which will also be heavily taxed (for example, you sell a mosin for $200, but to buy it back it will be $300+).
