They'll put all of the gun bills in inactive and wait until everybody is at the range on Friday afternoon and pass them all in unison. Watch for it!

If it requires one days public notice before placed on the agenda, don't have have to give that notice today or it is sunk?

I think that is the case. Assuming the 1 day notice rule which somebody above referenced actually is required, anything put in that file today is effectively done as the sessions end tomorrow.

They are not in session tomorrow. Today is the last day.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

              Today's the day

My representative's office said the same thing. Today is the last day of voting for the Assembly. She said 396 is in the inactive file and while possible, it is extremely unlikely to be brought back out.

My gut tells me that if this fails we may have to offer some thanks to the Police Unions.

A lot of people will need to rethink some things too.

Many LEOs can and DO support us.

WE can fight this crap sucessfully even heavily outnumbered.
                  But you must fight!
Not bellyache, whine and talk about moving and giving up.
Yes there are more battles but this victory, should it play out as expected now.
should help people realize what you DO matters!

                      THANK GOD!

SB396 would have been the apocalypse of shooting sports. It would have been the end of Limited and Open divisions in USPSA and the end of all 3Gun competitions in California.

Do recall they can suspend any rule they choose - dead is not 'dead' until the last possible moment to pass a bill and send it on to the Governor.

Can someone remove the sticky "SB-396 still on the table"?
That sticky is misleading to people. SB-396 is toast.

                            Not toast yet.

They can bring it back up anytime between now and when they adjourn this evening.

I just called my rep, Assemblyman Bloom. He had voted for it but I have to say, his office staff took the time to listen to me and discuss it intelligently. They also said they're getting more calls on the gun bills. Our calls might have some effect even on Democratic reps. Take the time to call!
