THE NRA REP PROBABLY DID DO A GOOD JOB GIVEN WHAT HE WAS GIVEN TO WORK WITH BUT THE NRA NEEDS TO MAKE A STAND NOW IN CALIFORNIA FOR THE GOOD OF EVERY LAW ABIDING GUN OWNER. THE MEDIA MAKES EVERY CALIFORNIA GUN OWNER OUT TO BE SOME URBAN GANG MEMBER OR URBAN VIGILANTE THAT ONLY WANT GUNS FOR DESTRUCTION. THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT LIKE TO HUNT, TARGET PRACTICE AND OWN GUNS FOR SELF PROTECTION. SOME HOW THAT IMAGE NEEDS TO CHANGE WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT IMAGE. WE ARE PAYING THE PRICE FOR SOMETHING WE DIDNT CREATE WHEN WE ARE LOOKED UPON IN A NEGETIVE IMAGE

Typing long run-on sentences in all caps is a sure way to have people ignore what you've written.

      Who is our NRA representitive.
His office should be the one informing all the NRA members of CA , pending gun laws.
It was the same back in 1991. Never received anything from the NRA regarding new gun laws. Got the info from the news back then. Internet was'nt devolped yet.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

        A couple of thoughts...

        - Producing a tv spot is fairly expensive. The NRA might not see the value in that expense compared to other media.

        - Network access. They might not be able to get a spot on most of the networks because the NRA is pro-2A and many networks aren't. ESPN and the Shooting U.S.A tv program come to mind.

I get emails from NRA-ILA, NRA, The NRA California Council, SAF, CRKBA, and GOA on a daily basis that alert me to the new laws.

Vaka you know that posting in all caps is paramount to yelling...notice you are the only one posting with the caplock on...just a FYI.

Other than that agree with everything you say..

This: It really pisses me off that John & Ken on KFI are such gun haters that they never talk about these bills. I'd bet 85-90% of their listeners would care about the bills if they knew about them - which would amount to like 1.8M people.

Comcast wouldn't play my gun stores commercial...a very tame one. Last night they played Sons of Anarchy which had murder, drugs, nudity...and ended with a child using a fully auto Tec to shoot up a school.

IF, and that's a giant if, the NRA cared enough to do this I highly doubt it would be aired. California's hypocrisy has no boundaries.

If they ran a commercial during the next Chargers, Raiders and 49ers game...

^ha! According to Comcast, NOTHING gun related can air during football per NFL rules...however...Call Of Duty & GTA video game commercials are fine.

Brilliant Brandon. A media buy on AM radio would reach a very targeted demographic at a much lower cost than TV. Tell us how much to extend this in frequency and location. Give us some fundraising goals to meet!
