I totally disagree and think you should retract your statement. I say that despite being disliked by the LEO's here on CalGuns because I have called them out on the unpleasant fact that their union endorsements and campaign contributions keep the anti-gun democrats in office here in California and elsewhere. That union activity and the "civil servent" mind set that soem officers have is wrong without a doubt.

It was never the job of a police officer to "take a bullet" for anyone. Its a "JOB" and the majority of police officers, and all the ones I know, do that difficult job honorably and most probably would take a bullet to defend the innocent. FYI.. I know a LOT of police officers from meeting them and spending time with in tactical training classes and IPSC/IDPA/Combat pistol matches. A number of them have become good personal friends.

Propagating your position above is not only inaccurate, it is unfair to the majority of police officers who "would take a bullet" responding to a call and getting into a gunfight to keep an armed violent felon from preying on the innocent.

Police officers are like anyone else.. they want to go home to their families after work. The deserve that as much as anyone else.

I don't think that's really what he's going against there.

Most the the ants dismiss self defense because the cops are here to 'protect us'.

But, they don't actually have any legal obligation to do so.

That's impeachable??? Really? We have not been able to re-import other lend lease "implements of war" since lend lease was established in WW2. That was to prevent profiteering and corruption in the program. I know because I and my friends collect and restore vintage WW2 armored fighting vehicles.

I can import all the vintage ans modern Russian, English and German tanks I want....but a beautiful American Sherman or Chaffee ...forget it.

A friend provided a M4A3 Sherman tank for the film "letters from Iwo Jima " and the producers had to get Sen. Feinstein and Sen Boxer to intercede with the ATF and State Department for a special reimportation letter so that the tank could be shipped to Iceland for the beach scenes and then brought back into the country.

you got it... it's a very common myth being used by power grabbers to indoctrinate their followers...

people need to know what's really going on, and not relying on propaganda machines (schools, msm, etc..)

btw - i've sworn to give my life in defense of this country, constitution and our way of life, years before i earned citizenship like every legal aliens.

and i do know people who are cops, and was recruited to be a cop at one time...

it'd be much better to use this event to raise awareness of what being planned by power grabbers in sacramento, imo...

              remember, all politics are local...
Obama isn't going anywhere on the basis alone of gun control. I agree with Semper Fi above.

What about focusing your energy on promoting the current situation to the average Joe? If that was your group who made the freeway signs happen check out this thread.

                .
this is what I have an issue with, not that it's an impeachable offense...

Has that really happened? If so, please prove that he actually did that.

it was not too hard to find, especially with code word like common sense...

or maybe since it's his administration policy and not his???

FACT SHEET: New Executive Actions to Reduce Gun Violence

Today, the Obama administration announced two new common-sense executive actions to keep the most dangerous firearms out of the wrong hands and ban almost all re-imports of military surplus firearms to private entities. These executive actions build on the 23 executive actions that the Vice President recommended as part of the comprehensive gun violence reduction plan and the President unveiled on January 16, 2013.

Keeping Surplus Military Weapons Off Our Streets

When the United States provides military firearms to its allies, either as direct commercial sales or through the foreign military sales or military assistance programs, those firearms may not be imported back into the United States without U.S. government approval. Since 2005, the U.S. Government has authorized requests to reimport more than 250,000 of these firearms.

Today, the Administration is announcing a new policy of denying requests to bring military-grade firearms back into the United States to private entities, with only a few exceptions such as for museums. This new policy will help keep military-grade firearms off our streets. "

It states it is a new policy, has this policy actually taken affect. I am not trying to argue, but I do not see where it says it is the new law. It seems if it were a new law, there would be dozens of angry posts about it.

You guys are behind the times.

The National Black Republican Association has already filed Articles of Impeachment against BoB.

The Washington Times also called for his impeachment back in 2010.
