Wake up bro. You're pissing your money away for nothing. The NRA didn't make a dent on this so called battle.

You're right, we'd be so much better off WITHOUT them.

The....wait, what's the name of the group that will step up & take their place?

    Oh, right...there isn't one.

The NRA is definitely the gun owners best friend & we can't blame them for every single loss. Sure perhaps we could ask them/lobby them to focus even more resources here in CA, but to abandon them?

Then I apologize to the NRA. I'm sure that they'll still cash the $5000 check I wrote them 6 months ago.

But Djones crossed way over the line in his comments. Lets see if he's man enough to apologize like I just did.

Take the personal stuff to general discussion.
We're trying to fight the antis here not each other.

                From Kestryll:

                "We're angry.
                We're frustrated.
We're feeling very much like we've been kicked in the gut.

Believe me I understand, when almost everything passed yesterday the feeling of 'How the hell could they do this' and just rage that I couldn't change or stop it was immense.
You think 'why the hell am I fighting this losing battle!?!'"

I have made some incredably ignorant rants at Lawyers and 1 about Doctors on the forums about this fight. I say this out loud to apologize for myself, and acknowledge we are all feeling the same pain!

...and that's how grown men do it!

Back to the fight, stay in it to win it (we might lose, doesn't matter, just stay in it) please.

The NRA was emailing me with people to contact almost daily up until Friday.

Never received a reply. Though, how worthwhile are auto generated replies?

                    I do not call, though.

How do those go? Just voice machines, secretaries?

Some went to voice, many were full so no message could be left. Some were answered by very nice assistants, most knew the anti gun bills by the number stated they would get the message to assembly member.

I will stand with SaltyDogUSMC on this one guys.

Don't EVER question the service of an honorable member (whether active, retired, regular or reserve) of the U.S. military, especially a Marine!

And yes, I am prejudiced towards Marines.

As a son of a Marine Gunny. Note: We buried him in his Blues after he was murdered in a robbery by a cowardly criminal with a stolen handgun. And as an honorably discharged Marine myself from '77 - '83 MOS3522 & 0311. Don't ask. It's a Marine thing.

Never ask a man if he is a Marine. If he is, he'll let you know. If he isn't, you don't want to embarrass him.

Even when we disagree, I'll share a fighting hole with SaltyDogUSMC. As long as were fighting the enemy.....

Call me sometime and I'll buy you a cup of coffee and discuss gun rights politics.

For my part, apology accepted. Now, let's get to the important stuff like fighting for our rights.

If I can ever do anything for you, or if you would like to know what's going on with us --- CALL ME. My number is listed in this, and every message.

And, as many people of CGN can tell you, I will meet with you and answer your question eyeball-to-eyeball.
