    Kansas has got it right!

Sebelius signs off on most of final budget bill
    Associated Press

TOPEKA - Gov. Kathleen Sebelius finished her bill-signing duties for the year Thursday, approving most of the final budget bill that legislators sent her.

Altogether, she signed 183 bills and vetoed seven others, including three bills that would have allowed two coal-fired power plants in western Kansas. She let one bill become law without her signature, allowing Kansans to own machine guns, other fully automatic weapons, sawed-off shotguns and silencers.
    ...

Now THAT's what I'm talking about.

No, wait, this is bad. I'm gonna be so poor...

I was born in Kansas City. Now I wish my parents had never left.

I lived in CA for 18 years before I decided to move back. Housing was the real decider for me, but now this is the icing on the cake. I'm thinking full-auto 300 whisper shorty AR with a can. For starters...

One thing I want to note, and I think it is significant. Our governor was opposed to the passage of the law, but she did the honorable thing and LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE. She showed her opposition, and maintained her integrity by not signing the bill. She understands, at least on this issue, that she works for us, and not the other way around.

This is in sharp contrast to CA, where legislators put their own opinions over the will of the people, and judges hold their own opinions over the Constitution.

Heh, my folks are still living in Kansas. Maybe I should keep something there for fun when I visit? I've always been fascinated with Browning's designs; maybe an M1919 would be just the ticket? Of course an M2 would be great, but I'm not sure I could afford all the ammo.

Hehe... good luck with that. FA AR shorty with a Gemtech.... sounds like about $15k or better to me. I saw one at a gun show a couple weeks back; they wanted $18k for it.... sucks being able to buy it but not feeling right about coughing up that much for a gun....
