    Syrian Rebels with Bullet Buttons

LOL. It would be interesting if the Syrian rebels we're arming were held to the same standards.

They mean "Free" citizens of course and federally, there are really not a lot of requirements to purchase/own a firearm. Most of that stuff is at the state level.

Still, I'm sure anti-gun activists would be glad to send them the severely handicapped military-style weapons that we are allowed to own and see how they fair against their opponents full-auto actual military weapons.

They would probably be happy with any rifle you give them.

When do they start handing them out to us so we can get our rights back? The bill of rights is in tatters. The three branches need to wake up soon. I have no plans to act outside the system. However, when I go to gun stores half the talk I hear about is revolution focused. They need another Church Committee, air out this dirty laundry and refocus.

I wondered the same thing back when we were busily equipping Iraqis and Afghanis. Why do we equip those citizens with full-auto guns but when our citizens try to get them, we send them to Federal prison for a decade? We trust foreign Jihadis more than we trust our own citizens, who as taxpayers are paying for all this? Smart!

Unlike here, the government over there is actually attacking them! Over here it's just a pipe dream....

Lets not kid ourselves believing we arm them for their defense. We are them to serve our foreign policy goals.

But they sure made a hard press run at banning "assault weapons" and "high capacity mags" at the federal level. So they'd to restrict to us on a federal level all of the things they hand out like candy in other parts of the world.

Aren't we arming them so they can use the weapons to kill Americans in five years? That seems to be our pattern throughout the past few decades, why change?

Im sure they would be happy just to receive rifles with dust covers on them.
