met him once.

although he's not completely against us, he doesn't seem to really be on "our side" either

couldn't tell if it was to appear neutral or what, but he didn't strike me as being truly neutral

He does a good job of appearing neutral, but that's not exactly right.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Adam Winkler is in the business of promoting Adam Winkler, not gun ideology in either direction. Course you cant fault the guy for that.

He knows his business in any case and usually worth a listen.

Seems the first time I heard of Adam Winkler, he was on the other guy's side.
He was the Brady campaign's intellectual heavyweight.

Unfortunately for them Adam has what the "Politically correct" consider a character defect, "Personal Integrity".

Adam is actually "intellectually honest" and when he wrote his "book", it went over well with us, not so well with others.

Adam actually is a "nice and approachable person". Yes he is a "Law Professor", but his book is written where people like me don't get lost, it actually is a "fun read".

Much of the stuff that he writes about in the book are things that many of us were following from other sources as they happen, so his writings are what I remember happening, he didn't hedge one way or the other.

Adam is not totally on our side, but we are working on it and as time rolls on, he will continue growing into a stronger ally for us.

I have a theory that anyone that looks objectively at gun rights in the US eventually comes over to our side, at least in part.

Some good examples are Paul Barrett (Bloomberg) and Dan Baum (WaPo)
