    Airport firearms question.

Anyone know if its ok to have firearms in a private hanger on international airport property? Maybe storing guns in a safe in the hanger owned by the gun owner who takes them on a private plane to the shooting range once and a while. I Can't find any state criminal violation so it may be up to airport regs. (the firearms are California legal and are possessed by persons not prohibited.) I'm looking for anyone who has firsthand knowledge. Thanks in advance.

Is the airport a commercial airport?

is there a TSA controlled sterile zone?

Check with FAA and/or TSA, they have the final say. State regs won't help you much here.

Also check the Calif "Harbors and Navigation" code which has some regs on airports, as well as lease agreements for the hanger. It is doubtful (but not impossible) it is actually owned by the gun owner.
