I've been saying this for long before I joined the site.

I wish we were living in a country where those who operate the government were there to serve the citizenry, but we're not. We're living in a country where those who operate the government are there to serve themselves and those select few who wield power over them.

The government now exists to enslave the citizenry, not to protect it or empower it. This is exactly what the founders of the country feared, and precisely what they originally fought against.

The founders of the country showed us what we must do if we fail to turn things around by working within the system.
